You only say this because you are young and don't realize that the car circles have been like this for years. Don't take this the wrong way as I mean no disrespect by it but it is simply the truth. It has nothing to do with failure. What you smell is probably the fromunda cheese growing on your ball sack.

The groups slowly will start to form with new people driving new vehicles, they will all be the best of friends, then one will get another car, and then another, and then everyone in the "group" will have different cars and meet new people that own cars more like their own and migrate into that "group" and then all the people from the old group will still be friends but not be in the same car circles and then the cycle starts over again. I know people that have gone through 6-7 different types of vehicles and ended up coming full circle back to what they started with.

Right now I have 5-6 people that I've been hanging out with and talking to frequently that are people I haven't spoken to in 4-5 years but somehow we all ended up running into each other at the same time. It happens all the time.
