It gets old because so many domestic guys won't just let it go. I don't think anyone was being overly critical of the Cobra until you came into this thread and said, "Not to suprised since the STi looks to be at it's factory limits where as the Cobra can pick up 100+ at the wheels with a simple $80 blower pulley." You were wrong on two counts. One, the STi is nowhere near its limits and two, an $80 pulley will not get the Cobra 100+hp at the wheels. Even if it did, you would have to spend more money making the proper supporting mods to the car (i.e. fuel delivery and management). From that point forward, the thread went downhill into the same old "mullets own j00 all" stuff we hear all the time. It isn't getting old, it got old five years ago. Now it's just a mutilated pile of flesh where a dead horse used to be. The Cobra is a reasonably compitent car, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. No one made any real derogatory comments before your post, because no one cared enough to bother.
Man some of you Subi guys are easy to stir, I need to visit more often.
BTW the blower pulley mod requires no additional work to go with it (fuel, management, etc.). Darn those
cars are so cheap and easy to mod.. I would shudder to think what it costs to get the same H.P. increase in the mighty Subi. ?
Oh and I did not make any derogatory comments as you referred to, it just seems you are the only one that views the that way.
P.S. What about that 9 m.p.h. difference in the 1/4 mile ?
