Now spend that same amount of money on the Cobra and go 10's or have it handle like a trans am car.
My car does alright in a straight line, nothing that's going to blow anyone's socks off, but better than some would expect. And the 2.5L short block is actually pretty cheap. If you go with the long block+STi ECU it can get a little pricey, but I really don't see the need for most applications.
This argument gets so old, it's not even really fun anymore.
