lol. I was just thinking that too.

good. it sounds like you have the right experiences and do really well.

What I was meaning by speeding things up is instead of taking 5-8 minutes to muscle off a stuck oil filter, to just attack it with the oil filter wrench or a big pair of channel locks (which i refer to as "the man tool") and rip that thing off.
A good pair of gloves is a major help. Mainly for the burn aspect. A good pair is a major help with the bloody knuckle aspect too.
Same with those nitrite (sp?) gloves.
I had a buddy that had a nice pair of gloves, heat resistant, reinforced at all of the knuckles the whole bit. And he would wear the blue gloves over those gloves when he did stuff like oil changes, that way, the good gloves didn't get soaked with oil and he could still use them on the next job. Ripping a pair of blue gloves off is a lot faster than having to scrub your hands clean in between jobs.

sounds like you get in a nice busy shop. and with your attitude and having someone you know work there, you ought to do really well for yourself.
