their fines aren't set either. Its like it varies on who does the paperwork. I got nailed for doing 15 over, 25 miles from the florida boarder and it was a 300 dollar ticket.
what really sucks is that you can't fight the ticket. you have to pay it, then you can fight the points, and even if you win, you don't get your money back. My girl got the exact same ticket, in the same area, and hers was a 700 dollar ticket.
and if you don't pay, they don't just suspend your license or whatever, they issue a warrant for your arrest.

unless you don't mind driving like a grandma and reviewing the statute book before making any on road maneuvers, then I say drive around Georgia. Figure, average out the cost of the tickets, plus dealing with atlanta traffic and all that jazz, and you end up breaking even just by going around. I know truck drivers that won't drive through Georgia if it is at all possible to avoid it.

I just got a ticket for 26 over leaving the talladega race on some bumfuck back road/hwy it was probably the one and only cop for the whole town (the town had a street light, but it was just flashing) took the cop like 45 min to write the ticket only to get half the info wrong. Its stupid how you have to call them just to find out how much it is going to cost and go there to contest it.
