I would concider the STi short block as an option if a piston were to let go on my current setup. For some of the prices I've seen I could grab one up for just a bit more then some of the rods being sold out there. But, my car is pretty much where it is going to stay right now. With the exception of brakes and suspension and the few parts I still have lingering around my house it's a done deal.
Indeed! The STi short block is looking like an economically smart move for those looking to step it up a notch! That right there is a sure sign that the apocalypse is upon us.
It's just something I've been rolling around in my head, not sure how serious I am about it. Need to build a new PC in the next month, so it's not going to happen until Spring at the earliest.
