Yeah, it was the bulb. It's a pain in the ass to pull the entire cluster for one stupid bulb. Apparently it only works with the key turned to on, the lights turned on and the dimmer switch plugged in as well. So when you change yours don't get mad when you test it and it doesn't light up when you turn the lights on.

If your clock actually works and reads time correctly then it's just the bulb that needs replacing. The actual clock itself is part of the tachometer dial and can be removed if the digital unit is bad.
