i'm pretty sure your honda's use the sensor in the dizzy so that might be where you got that info from.
but it isn't something that I've ever looked into.
Hell, the corolla I drive to work uses a vacuum powered sensor next to the throttle body to determine shift points and all that. It makes the tranny do all kinds of stupid shit when you get a misfire.
