Rant of the week.
Here it is: I hate curbs.
This particular one pisses me off. I was out looking at Christmas lights with the wifie when I encountered this blessing of a curb. This was not an ordinary curb, this one was in the middle of the fucking road this time. It seems that it is perfectly acceptable to stick a huge curb (completely grey) in the middle of a "T" intersection leading to a neighborhood now. I was turning into Fox Run subdivision in Valrico-suave from Natures Way to look at some lights and evidently the wonderful neighborhood association decided that the narrow road was too easy to navigate in the first place, so why not place a nice big curb there to help those people who have never turned down this street to navigate it as wonderfully as possible. Most places with a curb like this have those nice things like 3' tall reflectors or at least reflective paint. Not in this neighborhood filled with $300,000k+ houses...that is too much to ask for. Add to that equasion cross traffic and crap ass sealed beam pop-up headlights and you get a nice curb check. So far, the assessed flashlight damage seems to be a swaybar, a dented oil pan and a nice crossmember crosscheck. Thanks. Thanks a million. The neighborhood association will be hearing from my ass.
And for those doubters who think they cannot get any cash from an incident like this, here are some "for instances" for you. City of Tampa Water Dpt. payed out on a curbed wheel caused by a loose water cover for us. Golf courses (which this subdivision is attached to) always pay out on renegade ball hits on cars. So hopefully I have a chance. If not, I am going to need something to smash, break or spindle/mutilate since I am tired of being shat apon.
