Thats kinda crazy to put a tire that narrow on a 9" wheel. The rim is wider than the section width of the tire (The widest point). Basically your stretching the lip of the tire to meet the width of the rim.

I know your using these on a Nissan so I am not familiar with what fits and how tight different tire sizes will be. But perhaps a 17x9 wheel is a little much for a stock wheel well on your car? When the center section of a tire has to be stretched to make the bead of a rim I think that would be dangerous and risk the rim popping off the bead under hard cornering.

I looked up and compared tire sizes and seems a 235/35 tire will fit the rim better and still give you a low profile look (If thats what your after).

Here is a link.

Check it out and compare sizes. The sizes that I listed in my first post are for 79 - 04 Mustangs. They are the proper tire size for those rims and I have seen guys use the same size tires on the Nissan 240 and G35 cars. You can run different sized tires on these rims to meet fitment and clearance issues,.. but the center section of the tire should not be smaller than the width of the rim for proper fitment. If you find that the wider tires do not fit correctly then I strongly suggest going with a smaller wheel. You are not losing anything by going with a smaller wheel and the tire contact patch to the ground will be correct.

Hope that helps.

Also,.. you can buy those rims through OE Wheels brand new for pretty cheap. They are located in Sarasota and are usually cheaper brand new than what many people want for used wheels.
