If you want a better ride go back to the stock suspension setup. If you want ride height adjustment capabilities go with coilovers.
When you installed the lowering springs you limited suspension travel and gave the car a firmer ride. The stock shocks are more than likely operating outside of their optimal range of motion (they may be bottoming out). You might be able to get a little bit of a smoother ride with some shocks for your car that are valved for the 2" drop. Whoever you bought the lowering springs from should carry some.
Aftermarket coilovers will stiffen the ride up all around. Manufacturers don't make coilovers to give you a smooth ride.
