I was very impressed with the hood I got and the hoods I picked up for Anthony and Jeff. They dont have a finished underside. The middle cowl area is single layer,.. but with an outer frame for strength. I swear my 4 inch bolt on cowl hood cant weigh more than 5 - 6lbs. But felt as sturdy as any double layer hood I've ever had. Was a lot lighter than my last Cervini hood.
