bore a b18 to 86mm, and your little frankenstein wont have a chance. Thats right, you got a 2.1L. 2.1L > 1.8L. And the b18 will have more tq, I dont kno who told oyu this big bore smal lstroke = torque but you need to slap him. stroke = low end torque, bore = high rpm torque. Thats 16% more displacement btw. For comparison, if you revved the b16 to 10,000rpm, you would only need to rev the b18 to 8400 (i kno i kno assuming torque curves were dead flat) and make more low end torque.


b16 is a terrible platform to start from if you want more displacement.
