oh trust me...they didnt get there without problems

i bought my dsm bone ass stock, and it was only 1 owner and never beat one cause it was a semi old lady.

ECU got replaced
transfer case got called in
valves broke out of the blue (happened to me about 3 days after i owned it)
leaked a little oil since day 1
stupid misc fuses would blow for no reason
tranny grinded 5th
hardest timing belt job EVER!

they are far from reliable, even if you baby them, i mean bone stock, owned for 3 days, and breaking valves...wtf? i mean if you really want to see the essence of a DSM, watch the COPS video of a talon being chased....pulls great and everything, but even after like 25 minutes of running, that SMIC heatsoaked and he started detonating... they are great cars to go fast quick...but you honestly better have a tool set, jack, jack stands, 1 of every radiator hose, anti freeze, oil, water, and a flashlight or two just to feel safe...cause thats what i carried around. honestly, i still do with the bird too but, i suggest find yourself a nice little beater truck to haul the occaisional parts.
