The absolute best experience so far is:

Xbox 360 - "Grid" - Microsoft Steering Wheel - seat and mount


We used to play Grid in my living room with a couch, a dining table, and a projector. Hook the wheel up to the table, couple cushions on the couch, done.

Note: Only use the S15, the other cars are too odd. We also had to put a sponge under the gas pedal because it was too touchy.


End result: Once you get over the fact that it simply blows the tires away with the slightest throttle, and that the throttle is touchy (best to play with socks), it offers hands down, the best drift sim Ive ever used. Why? Because it lets you learn all the fundamentals of drift, how to drive to walls, and the joy of a non complicated setup.

Why is it better? Team Orange was a consultant on the drift physics. The replays are amazing. Attention to detail on the cars is incredible, no fucking with settings.
