he's talking about the yoke being worn, if that was rubbing something you'd know quick. what kinda mods do you have? Might sound dumb but if you've checked everything look at things like exhaust mounts, brake rotors (warped rotors could cause this), if you have lug bolts make sure they are seating properly and arnt stripped.
