his asking is high but unless you are buying/in the market i guess you and i both have no room to comment on his price
Just because a part for a Neon is rare doesn't make it valuable at the price it was selling for or more. Cars don't hold value (atleast not these), no reason for parts to hold value especially on something that isn't as rare as some think. My ED fender braces are more rare then an S3 kit.
OP said the most he would spend is 2k on a used S3 kit. So ask Josh if he would take that, since you know him personally.
