CRX wins for gas mileage if thats what your looking for. And yes there are things that can improve your gas mileage. Accords in general never did it for me, I'd get the Civic given these were the only 2 options.
what is it, the old crx HF model I think... didn't it get something stupid like 40+ MPG.
I remember reading something a while ago about someone that built one (pretty sure it was a CRX HF, not the SI model, but the other one that had direct injection, not throttle body injection) using junkyard parts and spent no more 1,000 bucks on it. boosted it to "neutral" or whatever it is called. So that the engine wouldn't have to work to suck air in, it was just there.
I remember that car got 55 mpg in the city.
If it wasn't so damn expensive to to own multiple cars, then I would own one of those to take back and forth to work.
