I actually just made one of these myself to take some product shots of my new knife. I used a similar box set-up but a bit bigger with white poster board as my "backdrop" and I used a white sheet as much diffusion material. I used a flash shooting from the top on slave mode and used some fill from on camera flash. These were my results with my new knife.
