This is for a ranger but they might be the same.

Loosen the set screw located in the Ranger's rear view mirror mount using your Allen wrench set.

Slide the tip of the thin screwdriver between the rear view mirror mount and the metal button on the windshield to pop the retaining tab loose.

Grab the Ranger's rear view mirror with both hands and pull on it to slide it off the metal button on the windshield. You may need to jiggle the screwdriver around in the space between the mirror mount and the metal button to keep the retaining clip from preventing you from pulling the mirror off.
