Default Why are Vitara's so strong?

D16's bend rods in high torque engines.
D16's kill pistons from detonation.

So I've read Vitara's are 'semi-forged' or some shit making them stronger and you use stronger forged rods. But is it the lower compression that you get with Vitara's that makes them so much stronger or are they really a good bit stronger than OEM cast pistons? Would Vitaras/FJ Rods hold up to maybe 220whp/200ft/lbs in a 11:1 motor (on E85)?

Anf for those that will eventually ask why I'm considering running 11:1 in a turbo motor, this dyno just about explains it. The guys newer engine made more power/torque, but it's still exactly what I want out of a motor.
