Not really just the intake valve reliefs on the b20z pistons are not wide enough to accomodate the vtec intake valves. The reliefs are deep enough for stock cams just not really wide enough. The best way to fix this is have a machine shop fly cut them a little bigger or if you don't feel like dissassembling then very careful grinder work with good cleanup would work too. If the b20 block is a b20b then those pistons are too low of compression for anything worth while. You can get over 10:1 using the b20z's and shaving the head.

obviously a full build is best but if you want to do it fast and cheap then using the stock bottom end with modified pistons and a low red line will probably last as long as it is driven right.
