There are plenty of cars out there with clear titles that have been involved in floods, accidents, etc that weren't properly repaired. At least with a rebuilt title car you know up front it was involved in some type of incident and can proceed accordingly with the inspection, negotiation of price, etc.
To the OP...make sure you take that rebuilt title into consideration for the trade. It doesn't matter if it was repaired correctly, or if it was a recovered theft with no damages, etc. That car isn't worth what an equivalent make/model is with a clear title.
Exactly!!!! That is my point. If we were able to change a salvage/rebuilt title to a regular title just imagine how worst things will become.
