At least with a rebuilt title car you know up front it was involved in some type of incident and can proceed accordingly with the inspection, negotiation of price, etc.

To the OP...make sure you take that rebuilt title into consideration for the trade. It doesn't matter if it was repaired correctly, or if it was a recovered theft with no damages, etc. That car isn't worth what an equivalent make/model is with a clear title.
