I'd have to think the gear ratios on a 95 talon are debateable. how did they determine that 95 talons have different gear ratios? one test bed, or all vehicles manufactured that year? are the gears different part numbers in CAPS?

the gear assemblies from a 1st gen can be swapped into a 2nd gen case as long as you swap entire gear assemblies, which would explain how you could come accross a 95 anything with the same gear ratios as a 1st gen.

unless mitsubishi was just reusing first gen parts in the talon trannies for some reason, which I wouldn't put past them either.

color me skeptical.
