I'm joining in now.

Car is a 1999 VW new beetle, and has a tank of 14.5 gallons.

epa is 21 city 28 highway 25 mixed ( new) and 21/31 ( old )

Last full tank was 235 miles. which is 16.2 mpg.

Currently i have used 3.625 gallons of fuel, and have driven 139 miles.

This comes out to 38.34 mpg.

With the current tank i have improved over 10mpg then the epa has given this car.

Car has a catback exhaust and runs on 35 psi filled tires. Shifts are at 2.5 and 3k never more. I'm pretty proud of myself.


^ is with the new standard, old standard would be a 7.34 mpg increase.

edit: btw car has 88k on it. Most of this has been in the city.
