jeesus, are you people dense, or just like to argue? Diesels also have 18:1 compression, run over 30lbs of boost, and don't have spark plugs or a throttle body. Should I do that to the 4.3 in my S10?

Diesels are built differently. They are designed to run under boost constantly. I don't know if we ca say the same about the ecoboost, but I somehow doubt it.
