Default FS/FT 1987 Toyota Celica GT-S

Car is located in Brandon. Asking $2000. I may be open to some trades, let me know what you have.

I'm selling my Celica because it doesn't get driven much and I don't have the time or funds to do what I would like with it. It is 100% stock, adult owned for it's whole life. Only 2 owners. Lots of receipts. 5spd of course. It has a trunk, not hatchback.

The GT-S is the best 2wd Celica available for this generation. The GT-S has the first appearance of the 2 liter 3S-GE twin-cam motor. There are huge differences between this motor and the much more common 3S-FE. Here's some info on that: (st162.net • View topic - FE vs GE motors - what's different?). If the car doesn't sell, I may consider parting it out/selling the engine if anyone is interested. Engine makes ~140hp but removing the EGR stuff and swapping to the JDM ecu (easy) will bring that up a bit. The GT-S has lots of differences from the regular Celicas, but I won't go on.

The interior is blue cloth and basically mint except for cracks in the dash. The seats are comfortable and supportive, the driver's has power adjustable lumbar and stuff. Power windows, locks, cruise control, factory premium sound system. AC does not work but I believe it's an electronic problem with the climate control buttons, which seems to be a common problem on these cars. I had a new compressor put in a few years ago and it was working good.

The exterior isn't as great. It's spent a lot of time parked in my driveway over the last year or so, and the paint has gone downhill a lot. It's got cracks in places and flaking off in others. There are also a few small rust spots (nothing major) above the rear windshield, and in the trunk. It looks great from 15 feet away though, as you can see in the pictures.

The engine runs great, and has never been abused or even driven hard. Oil always changed, yadda yadda. I just replaced the waterpump a few months ago, but the car was never overheated, it began to leak and I caught it immediately. It currently has no power steering, because the high pressure hose is leaking. I rarely drive the car so I just pulled the belt to keep it from leaking everywhere when I run it. You can get a new hose from Amazon hose or whoever, but I think it's pretty pricey from Toyota.

Sorry for the long description, but I wanted to cover everything. Any questions PM me please, incase I don't keep an eye on this thread. I might snap some more pics, at least of the interior, and post them when I can.
