And as for GM's quality, you can say whatever the fuck you want but you are still wrong. Every major car magazine, JD power, etc etc all say the same thing... GM's quality has improved dramatically the last decade and is on par with the rest of the world now.
So after "dramatic" improvements, they've met, "par." That's nice and all, but doesn't that mean that the cars you're defending (yours, a decade old, the OP's even older) would have been dramatically below par at the time, which is exactly what the people in here are saying? Way to make a point!
