Long tubes make both,.. more HP AND TORQ than short headers. This is based on every engine dyno, tech artical ever written. Sean Hylands book, Popular HotRoddin aticles, Car Craft, MM&FF,.. you name it. This goes back to the 60's and 70's where tests were done trying different collector lengths, diameters, split designs and such. Shorty headers only work when velocity is applied to the equation. Other than slightly less restrictive tubes,.. they offer no other advantage over stock manifolds.
