Leonard, I think you missed the point, the people stating the RX-8 was slow (up to the point you jumped in) had cars, modded ones at that. Most of them probably never drove an RX-8, but were comparing their modded cars to a stock '8'. Of course the RX-8 is not as fast as some of their cars, and I did not buy it to go drag racing. A stock Mustang GT, Corvette, STI, EVO, M3, 911 etc.. would beat it. None of them jumped in, but you did, and it appeared the only reason was to be an ass.
There is so much more to a car than 0-60, some people understand that, and some don't.
Yes it is slow. 170whp slow(which i think John dynoed one at his shop at that number). It felt slower than a STOCK 1.8t gti. and i wasnt comparing it to my car. Totally not worth the money. It looks pretty cool though. And you're right there is a lot more than 0-60 and it does have 50/50 weight distribution and Rwd which is totally cool. But the car isnt all that light. and it really isnt that fast. it has it's positives and negatives. like most cars do.
