dont get me wrong, the RX8 wont be bashed by me, but a civic going fast doesnt do it for me at all #1 and #2 what the hell does it matter? a civic cost nearly half of an rx8! i like the interior a a good deal on the rx8, and the exterior... but the power doesnt do it for me, mods or not..... ill stick with the STi > RX8 on this one 
Of course STi>RX8 for you. They aren't meant to compete with STi's or Evo8's anything like that. Its a sporty 4 door good handling car. Not a drag car by any means. It is not the next RX7. If they wanted it to beat every car out there they would have made it that way. The great thing about rotaries which everyone is missing is their potential. I can take my car which stock ran a 15.2 and without any internal modifications run 20lbs of boost if I wanted. I can get my car in the 11s with bolt-ons. They handle boost and respond to mods very well. And if you love for the twisties then you'll have love for this car.
