this isnt nothing new. They cant just read your cars info at will or while you are driving , but all cars since 2005 have little black boxes that tell everything. They tell how fast you drive , how soon before you hit the brakes the turn signal is activated. They even tell if you were using your brakes and how hard you were using them. Isuzu's are the only vehicles that this info can be accessed by the tech at the dealer. All other makes have to be read by the manufacture. Big trucks have had this technolgy for 20 years
