T-tops? They usually leak. Check out for that. Rust is a major bitch on AW11s. I'm pretty sure 87s have the C52 transmission so you don't need to worry about 5th gear pop out. Check the e-brake cables. It probably won't be a deal breaker, but they usually snap. There's lots of info out there. Try MR2oc.com and MR2.com
