A friend of mine has an S2000 motor in his 4 seat rail. Another friend has a Honda J35 V6 in his 4 seat rail. I also have friends with Chevy Ecotec's and Caddy Northstar V8's. Most of us are getting away from VW motors as there are many cheaper alternatives that make way more HP than an aircooled VW.

I have an Ecotec motor for my 4 seater I'm building. I'm doing it a bit differently and going with an Ecotec tranny as well and setting the motor sideways in the rear.
