Just be firm. You should have put a firm asking price on it to begin with. Asking for offers just opens the door to BS like that. Its the name of the game. Buyers want it for a little as you'll let it go for and dont care that you have a set price in mind. You wanted to see if they'd auction on it,.. bad idea. You should have put it on Ebay with a $7800 reserve if that was your plan.
Personally I would delete the post,.. make a new one. Just do a brief description of the car. They dont need to know the history of the car or why you are selling. Just keep it to the basics, put a set price and post plenty of pics. Let the car sell itself. Dont try to build the car up to be anything more than what it is.
The more personal information you reveal the more you open yourself up to BS like that. Just keep it simple.
