I've seen the whole 'swap a B16 and price goes down' thing as well. Maybe it's just a CRX thing, but low milage stock CRX's sell for $4k+. There's been several sub-100k mile CRX's in mint condition that have sold for upwards of $8k in the last few years.
What I don't get is people selling a car that looks like crap with a decent engine and expecting alot, but at the same time don't value a car that looks decent, but is stock-ish high.
IMO, us Honda owners should embrace a higher value on our nice looking cars. It will only help us.

I prefer the feel of my CRX's manual rack (then again it's a manual rack, not a looped of ps rack) to any power steering car I've driven. It's a much more direct feel, and apart from parallel parking, it's not the bad. But no AC, in Florida? Ha, your funny. It's a must if your gonna go somewhere and not be drenched in sweat.
