Some of the Tampa area TurboFord.org crowd got together at Coastal Dyno today for a dyno day. Got to meet some really cool SVO owners today and we had a ball.
Anyway, to the results of my runs
-1993 Mustang 2.3/A4LD converted to T2.3/T5
-Stock NAPA auto parts reman clutch for TC.
-1988 TC shortblock freshened up with standard bearings and file fit Total Seal gapless rings.
-Moderately home ported "D" port head with stock valve sizes and decent springs
-Ranger Roller cam installed with stock timing
-NAPA "racing" headgasket
-Unported square intake
-Unported E6 manifold
-Stock N/A TB (same size as turbo)
-TO4B 60-1/Stage 3 .63 turbo at 17psi assembled by
www.extremeturboshop.com
-Small NPR intercooler mounted in the nose of the car
-Electromotive TEC2 EFI tuned by Allen Moore
The pulls were made on a mustang brand dyno which reads less than a Dynojet dyno.
The Results:
229 HP @ 4100 RPM
292 TQ @ 4000 RPM
A/F was pretty rich at most points with the best run having a 10.5:1 A/F ratio.
The car is an animal on the street. 2nd gear just spins right to the limiter and 3rd will spin the tire once full boost comes in. Its SO much fun to drive though
Next up: Some type of exhaust header and then a re-dyno before opening up the intake.
Just wanted to give a HUGE thanks to the guys at Coastal Dyno. They were very professional, got the cars moved along very quickly, and were very friendly/talkative to everyone.
