Hey hurst i can say i have ran the 60's on my old 92' Thats ran 9.50's on spray but when i ran the car on motor i went with the 50's cause the 60's is way too much sidewall for that car on motor... I guess it really depends on his setup obviously...
But if he has not bought the tire yet... I will tell you the best drag radial out there right now is the hoosier. I was skeptical of that but When we switched from slick to D/R on our renegade car. The car actually got faster with the hoosiers ( we tried M/T's they sucked... ) & the car drove like a cadilac all the way down the track to low 8's @ 168mph.
So i would def go hoosier if he has not bought his tires yet. && The 60's work great if its the right size tire for the cars setup. So many people always overkill their cars with tire.
Side note: M/T are not bad for slower cars.
