I am about 85% leaning towards a LS2 rotating assembely, but part of me really wants to make a easier 500whp/500wtq that a 408 stroker can provide with a mild cam.
I am sure I can make 500whp with a LS2 rotating assembly but I would have to run a wilder cam and I wouldn't make as much tq as a stroker assembly (I am sure it would be plenty for the chassis I would be putting it in anyway).
As far as oil pumps go I am probably more than likely going to end up using a LS4 oil pump or a melling pump.
So far my virgin block (with main caps) is still crated up and I have bought the stuff I know I will end up using regardless, L92 heads will be on their way next week (along with LS7 lifters and pushrods). If you have any feedback it would be appreciated. Posted some pictures below (not trying to hijack your thread in any way).
no worries on thread jack lol
you seem to know more about the interchangable and parts swapping than myself. I only know the stock components, whats needed to do the swap, and the typical upgrades. I'm not trying to re-write the manual and make some serious custom setup, just follow in footsteps of others and drive awesome with it.
I was trying to figure out what kinda cam I even wanted and was trying to learn all the different numbers and durations and stuff. I don't really really know what each little change will or wont do and where my power and power band will shift.
I doubt I can offer much input on your indepth kinda build but I might have some q's for you in the future lol.
