It's to my understanding however that the AOD's have a Lower (numerically higher) first gear ratio and a higher (numerically lower) over drive ratio. If that car doesn't see usual highway duty, go with the 4.10's!
Gears are the biggest bang for the buck on a stock stang, it really wakes them up. Don't fear the gear, however, 4.30 might put you into overdrive in the 1/4 mile,
