well , here is the long version, my wifes dad bought this truck for her to come visit him more often, he lives in agusta georgia, we live in brandon (450+ miles) so he buys this truck , body /interior/ engine compartment look great, but he is older and unable to check under the truck... so anyway he bought it, then noticed it had a fuel leak from the tank, he took it to the shop and they told him it was a truck from up north, and the truck was pretty rusty but minor under it, only frame and minor things no body cancer, so they replaced the fuel tank, oil change, rotate and balance the tires and notice the transmission lines leaking so the replaced them as well, topped the tranny off and threw a couple gallons of gas in,,, everything is fine no leaks, runs good. i drive it around town for 2 days runs good until im heading back through town, it starts acking like its running out of gas, bucking jerking and slowing down so i pat and play with the gas pedal getting it up to speed to limp home to his house, next morning cranks right up runs fine, take it back to the shop they check fuel psi and everything is normal, no problems but he said put seafoam additive, and fill up the tank , so then thats done, we head back to florida, thing runs like a champ, we get 50 miles from home on the interstae and just below 1/4 tank of gas and it starts bucking and jerking again, well it stalls , so i pull over turn it off, turn it on and it starts right up so i take off and about 10 to 15 miles it did it again, well it limped home, next day runs fine to gas station, i fill it up, runs fine , within 15 minutes starts bucking jerking like its running out of fuel again, well as i know now, turn it off and start it again while going down the road, and its fine for a temp time 10 to 15 miles, and is getting worse by the day, coil pack? i dont think that if its getting hot and the windings in the coil breaking down by restarting it would not change that, plugs? it runs to good if its the plugs it would be more consistant, fuel filter possable!! morning/afternoon doesnot affect it, its done it both ways! its like a lack of fuel, but psi has been checked and no issue?? thanks for all the inputs im still working on it daily to try and find this,,, thanks guys.
