Thats not a Neon motor. Its a 1.6L and I believe it was designed by BMW (as was the whole car). The Mini Cooper S is the supercharged version.
Actually the engine is going to be produced by Daimer Chrysler. And it is supposed to be a very basic version of the neon motor.
