Theres also the prestige, your ferrari owning friends are going to laugh at your hunk of shit econobox, even if it has twice as much power as their brand new 458. The econobox would still be slower anyway, I wouldnt be surprised if it pulled a Mercedes and backflipped right the hell off the road at 200mph. Theres also luxury and comfort, you can hold a conversation inside the Veyron at speed, I could barely think when my stock civic was going 70 because the road noise was so bad.
