The spot isnt the issue. Its keeping it. Any establishment that will still be open is a plus, especially if you have permission. That way if anyone (police) shows up to question you or run you off you can say hey, we have permission (usually a letter) and you can run in and verify that we didnt just make that up (it works well from time to time... not that i advocate misleading the police). Another plus to having the meet at a place that is open is an increase in business opportunity. Granted everyone is cheap and no one wants to pay to go sit in a parking lot... If everyone who showed up grabbed something off say a dollar menu... the establishment would love the meet (think about the $$$$) and would never run you off, providing the people who attend are well mannered and dont trash the lot. The hardest part about a weekday meet (any meet really) is controling the crowd. All it takes is one idiot doing burnouts or donuts and so on (accidental shootings)... and you can kiss your perfect spot goodbye. Just food for thought from a guy who goes all over the bay area to random meets
