We were all 16 at a time, but we had to ration our internet usage back then and we didn't waste any fucking time, we went straight to porn, music and trying to get laid - not trying to impress people who are twice your age by arguing over drifting events or offering to wash their cars. Your 16, your not going to find a job very easily because kids are usually unreliable. Keep looking and start doing odd end shit here and there and you'll eventually fall into something.
