I think the "main" reason everyone sees things differently is due to their monitors.
Its about that time to update them because some things slip by that Ill later catch on my HD monitor.
The Carpet was a perfect example. On my editing PC it looks hidden but on my HD monitor you can see the cut off. The vignette was over done to try and cover this instead of cloning.
I design for the printing industry, things like this dont typically show up.
As for the redness in the first picture, It must be either the way PS is exporting the jpeg or Flickr. The red is not that saturated in PS.
I toned it down and reloaded it so let me know if that helps.
