the crank sensor could be bad, but wouldnt go bad because of the issue with the alt. id check the wiring to the plug again to make sure it is repaired correctly. but first, did you check the voltages at the ecu and your grounds? the coils and ignitor dont get power from the ecu, so just because they have power doesnt mean the ecu is on.
