On the term "Ricer": I think it became a shorter way of saying "Rice Burner". Back in the late '70's -early '80's all us guys that drove american cars referred to all japanese cars as "Rice burners" because of their country origin. Hence "Ricer" became a contraction for "Rice Burner".
I remember the term Ricer burners. But that was more oriented at the cars themselves. Ricer went on to include the driver as well as the car.
