Meh, I think it's bunk. AWD isnt the greatest drivetrain to be pushing down tarmac at those kinds of speeds..it's an advantage, and it has a number of problems as well. But, I presume standards for AWD would be too hard to regulate given that systems throughout the makes and models are very diffrent.
IE: Mitsubishi's innovative AYC.
