those wires wont really spark. not much voltage to them. iirc its a vr type sensor so has 12v going on one wire and the other comes back as the ground and the ecu measures the "blips" in the signal. the wires should have been shielded. as for the connector, toyota dealers can order the plastic connector and the pins to crimp onto the wires. crimp the pins on then insert them into the connector. the old connector should have a small part number on it. should help. if you go to supraforums, either of the 2 toyota dealerships listed in the vendor section should be able to get it for you.
now if you have 12v to the coils and ignitor. check the ground pin of the ignitor for continuity to ground. most spark issues are a bad ground somewhere. on 7m's theres a cluster of grounds bolted to the intake manifold at the rear of the engine. if they are loose it wont run. the jz's have these ground clusters too but im not 100% where they are on the engine. prolly a similar location. and you need a large ground from the block to the neg terminal of the battery and from the head to the body and body to the battery. these are very important!
another thing, since this is a swap into a 240, make sure the b+ and b wires have +12v with the key on. if the ecu doesnt have power nothing will run. i fixed the wiring on a 7mgte swap into a toyota truck that was missing 12v to the b+ line and a few other small issues.
